You may not know their name but if you have been reading (or glancing through looking at the pretty pictures) Fashion Magazines over the past 26 years, you will have seen their work. Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Inez and Vinoodh, are two of fashion’s busiest and most influential photographers. Their work ranges from the covers of Vogue Paris, V Magazine, Interview Magazine and Harpers Bazaar to ads for Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Balenciaga and many more. To celebrate their work over the past 26 years, Taschen has put together a collection of their work, titled Pretty Much Everything, (you can buy it here); the book has 666 pages of their images in two volumes and includes an additional reader. There are also 1000 Limited Edition copies which have been numbered and signed by the artists. With the release of Pretty Much Everything forthcoming, The Cut interviewed the Dutch pair recently and touched on a few topics with them, including why the book has 666 page, nudity and how they cast their shoots. Pretty Much Everything by Inez and Vinoodh is a MUST HAVE for fashion, art and photography lovers alike. I know it’s a little late but this will be added to my Christmas list for sure. This is the perfect book for anyone’s library and would be amazing to browse through to see their beautiful images. I’m going to end this post with Inez and Vinoodh’s iconic image of Alexander McQueen from 2004.
