Must Have: DSquared2 Fuchsia Velvet Blazer

DSQUARED2 FUCHSIA SILK TRIM VELVET BLAZER

I remember a few years ago I wanted a red velvet blazer after being inspired by DSquared2; then I saw Keven Federline wearing one and the dream was over. Well I can happily say I have a new one and this is it! I love love LOVE this DSquared2 Fuchsia Velvet Blazer from SSENSE (here). I think this jacket would look awesome for formal occasions but I would be tempted to wear it often. It’s the perfect amount of “pop” and colour. Do you like this blazer or is it too much?

Must Have: Givenchy Rottweiler Scarf

Givenchy Rottweiler Scarf

So yesterday I went on and on about this DSquared2 scarf but unfortunately it is now sold out (I guess you guys liked it as much as me!). So I promised I would find something else that caught my eye and sticking with the animal and scarf idea, not purposely, I found this lovely Givenchy Rottweiler scarf (available here). I know it’s been a few seasons since Givenchy first featured the rottweiler but I still can’t get enough. I think this scarf, just like the tiger one, gives you the perfect amount of edge to complement any outfit this fall. It is a steal at only $96 and because I was late on the draw with the tiger scarf I will most definitely be buying this one to add to my collection.

P.S. If you do go out and buy it, please try to make sure there is at least one left for me.

Mensential: DSquared2 Tiger Scarf

DSquared, Scarf

You all know I love love love DSquared2, so I’m always on the lookout for another piece from them to add to my collection. This tiger scarf is an awesome accessory that isn’t as much for warmth but it’s for style and boy does it bring a lot of style. I think pairing this with a t-shirt and a great blazer or leather jacket would give you that edgy look on a night on the town. The scarf is available here from LuisaViaRoma for less than $100 which is a steal. I think I will be placing my order tonight so I have this beauty in time for the weekend.

UPDATE:  No sooner do I blog about this wonderful piece and now it’s gone. What a shame, oh well I guess I’ll have to keep my eye out for some more great pieces.

Must Have: DSquared2 Knit Sweater

DSquared

As things start to cool down, all I can think about is being nice and warm yet equally chic. To me, this sweater fits the bill. It’s made from alpaca, wool and acrylic and looks like just the thing to thrown over on chilly days as you leave the house to run to the store. The other feature I love are the pockets, which can come in so handy when you are running errands. The sweater is available here from SSENSE and although it comes with an almost $800 price tag, once you are wrapped up in it, you won’t think twice about the cost.

Review: Dsquared² Fall Winter 2012 Menswear

Dan and Dean Caten Dsquared² Fall Winter 2012 MenswearI’ve never been shy about professing my love for DSquuared2, that love also extends to designers Dan and Dean Caten. Seriously, look at how hot the Canadian born twins look posing in the finale of their Fall Winter 2012 Menswear collection.  Never ones to shy away from the theatrics, this show had a naughty school boy theme. The show started with a single model walking down the runway, as he walked through the curtains, they fell revealing a school room filled with misbehaving students, who then proceeded to showcase the collection. The collection featured the best of DSquared2, which showcased their tailoring, love of denim, and great designs. Continue reading
