Riccardo Tisci is on a hot streak lately as everyone is excited to see his collections; how much this has to do with his Kanye West connection and how much is because of his designs is up to you to decide. Either way I have professed my love for the Rottweilers, Sharks and Birds of Paradise he used in previous collections. This year because Givenchy isn’t showing a Couture collection, Riccardo Tisci said that he wanted to bring a litte bit of couture to menswear

I have not always been a big fan of Louis Vuitton but Kim Jones is slowly and surely converting me. This collection full of animal prints (my fave!!) and the patterned jackets made me drool. 

Review: Viktor & Rolf Fall Winter 2013 Menswear

Viktor and Rolf may not have been as colourful or bright as other collections but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t as nice. The textures and patterns added a nice element to the collection and this will serve nicely as inspiration for work where I am limited to black, white and grey.

Lanvin’s Fall Winter 2012 Menswear collection was the perfect mix of modern meets classic; a truly ideal blend. Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz did a terrific job mixing and matching and did I mention the shoes??

Review: Viktor & Rolf Fall Winter 2012 Menswear

Rolf Snoeren and Viktor Horsting aka Viktor & Rolf have never been afraid of theatrics. Their Fall Winter 2012 Menswear didn’t have much of those but it did have gorgeous suits and jackets with linebacker shoulder.

I never paid much attention to Hermès, with the exception of wanting a Birkin. I think Véronique Nichanian changed this for me with this collection. The fits are perfect and the textures and materials are to die for. 

Review: Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2012 Menswear

To me, Kim Jones latest collection for Louis Vuitton was a definite hit! The show featured amazing coats, fantastic accessories, perfect tailoring. Overall, this has to be in my Top 5 of all shows this season.

Review: Balmain Fall Winter 2012 Menswear

I was very pleased with Olivier Rousteing first collection since taking over the reigns at Balmain and I am equally as impressed with this one. The look which I get a  “Master and Commander” feeling from go hand in hand with the classics shown during Milan Fashion Week, just a few decades (or centuries apart).
